My Love for Oribe

My love for Oribe has become a ritual for me and a few friends of mine who loves Japanese food. It is well known to be one of my all time favourite Japanese Restaurant in KL for a luxurious lunch celebration. I swear, they serve one of the best authentic Japanese Lunch and Dinner Sets in town with a variety of choice to your likings.

The Japanese chef, NAO is one of the most down to earth yet friendly Japanese chef i have ever met taking into little details to perfecting your dining experience. He is extremely meticulous ensuring that each plate is served to his exacting standards.

Personally, i love to sit at the Sushi Bar.

My all time favourite is the Omakse set while focusing on more sushi. A variety of sushi served with exquisite fresh seafood. For each serving given, chef NAO San shares the ingredients used on each sushi with the kind of seafood served.

Sushi served are firmed and fresh seafood with rice perfectly fitting sized. My all time favourite are their Uni’s and Engawa (flounder fish).

The highlight of this course was the chefs special bowl, a miniature bowl also known as the cholesterol bowl to many. Served with a variey of sweet uni, seasoned chipped tuna, prawns, engawa on a bed of sushi rice. Personally, I could eat this everyday.. and if you haven’t tried it, you definitely should.

A truly wonderful and memorable treat each time I’m back here. We ended our meal with a wonderful selection of dessert made with Japanese ingredients all the way from Japan.

By the time i’m done with this, i swear i can totally skip dinner. 😀
